Annual Letters: 2011 to 2015

Each year, we publish information about our members' records in handling complaints and appeals for the preceding calendar year. For the years from 2011 to 2015 we published this information in Annual Letters.

For the years from 2016 onwards we have published the information in Annual Statements.

The information in the Annual Letters must be considered in context. The letters provide useful information about complaints and appeals that have reached the end of internal processes at higher education providers and come to us. They do not set out the overall number of complaints and appeals that students have made to their providers, many of which are likely to be resolved through the internal processes. It is difficult to compare “like with like” and we cannot accept responsibility for any inferences or conclusions that people reach from looking at the Letters.
