Evidence of personal circumstances affecting students - discussion groups
Mitigating circumstances are a major part of our casework. We have seen some novel issues and approaches emerging and would like to explore how common these may be across the breadth of our membership. If you have recent experience in responding to or supporting students through processes that have required a student to produce evidence about their personal circumstances and would be willing to share any emerging themes, trends or new developments, please join us for a discussion on Tuesday 23rd September.
- Provider discussion at 10am
- Student representative body discussion at 1pm
Each online discussion will last up to 90 minutes giving us time to explore the issues currently faced by students when evidence in support of academic appeals, special consideration requests and other provider processes is required. We will look at the considerations providers need to think about when asking for evidence, as well as how students gather that evidence and what barriers they may face when doing this.
If you have any questions please contact outreach@oiahe.org.uk in the first instance.
