OIA workshop

This free online workshop is aimed at Points of Contact, delegates and staff who engage with students through a complaints or appeals process. 

Through a series of case studies, breakout sessions and discussions, we will explore financial sustainability and topics raised in advance by delegates. The workshop will also be a networking opportunity for anyone wishing to share or learn about good practice in their setting. 

On the agenda…

  • OIA updates including on recent case summaries, the Good Practice Framework: harassment and sexual misconduct, briefing notes and engagement insights
  • Discussion groups where we will explore complaints in the context of financial sustainability and topics raised in advance by delegates
  • Case study breakout discussions covering issues we see in complaints about harassment and sexual misconduct 

The workshop will also be a networking opportunity for anyone wishing to share or learn about good practice in complaints and appeals.

Attendees are expected to have some knowledge of the OIA. To refresh your knowledge on 'Who we are and what we do' check out our Bitesize OIA page on our website.

Useful to know 

  • The workshop will be held online using MS Teams. 
  • Attendees will need a camera and headset with a microphone to gain the most from attending. 
  • Comfort breaks will be included. 
  • Agenda may vary
