Student Representative Bodies autumn workshop - Introducing the Good Practice Framework: Handling reports about harassment and sexual misconduct

This free online workshop is aimed at Students' Unions, Students' Associations and other representative bodies who advise or guide students through their provider’s internal procedures. Staff and representatives who advocate on behalf of students through the OIA process should also find this workshop useful. 

We’re finalising our agenda but this session will be a chance to catch up on all the latest OIA updates, talk through key elements of our recently published GPF: Handling reports about harassment and sexual misconduct. You can also tell us in your registration form what’s on your own agendas and what you’d like us to cover on the day. 

On the agenda:

  • OIA updates including on recent case summaries, the Good Practice Framework: harassment and sexual misconduct, briefing notes and engagement insights 
  • Adviser discussion groups where we will explore complaints in the context of student activities and topics raised in advance by delegates. 
  • Case study breakout discussions covering issues we see in complaints and appeals. 
  • Guest speaker - TBC 

The workshop will also be a networking opportunity for anyone wishing to share or learn about good practice in supporting students through complaints and appeals.

Webinar details

  • The workshop will be held online using MS Teams. 
  • Attendees will need a camera and headset with a microphone to gain the most from attending. 
  • Comfort breaks will be included. 
  • Agenda may vary
