STUDENT DISCUSSION GROUPS

Student discussion groups

We're looking for students who are or were recently studying towards a degree or other higher education award, to take part in our online discussion groups. There are usually around six to eight people in the group and the discussions last around an hour.

Through our student discussion groups, we gain a deeper understanding of the challenges students face and what’s shaping their learning experiences in higher education. The group discussions can also help us explore student perspectives on the issues they are most concerned about.

This time round we want to speak to students about the process of making a complaint, including:

  • how you would want or expect to engage and communicate with us
  • what information and support you might expect or need at the different stages of making a complaint to us
  • what would help create a clear, accessible and trusted service for students using our Scheme.

These sessions are aimed at people who have and have not used our service. Please note that, to preserve impartiality and transparency in our process, students who have an active complaint with us or who have received a decision within the last four months cannot take part in these discussion groups.

We are offering a £25 voucher, as a gesture of goodwill, to thank you for your participation.

We will be in touch to confirm your place at a discussion along with joining details. Please hold the dates and times in your diary for now.

Should you have any questions please contact outreach@oiahe.org.uk in the first instance. Thank you for your interest to join one of our student discussion groups.
