We are introducing a new Student Insight Panel. Our aim is to provide a student perspective on aspects of the OIA’s work where insight into experience, understanding, accessibility, and communication with students will be invaluable as we change and develop our Scheme.
This is a new panel which will help us understand the experiences and expectations of students as our service users. The panel will offer informal advice in developing, testing, and improving the work of the student complaints organisation for England and Wales.
You will be joining at a pivotal moment for us as we expand our remit into new levels of study, and with an increased focus on improving the student experience.
Our aim is that the panel reflects a broad and diverse range of current students and recent graduates, from different backgrounds, modes of study, and lived experience across England and Wales.
We are recruiting for panel members to serve on the panel from October 2026 for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension for a further year. Panel members will be asked to attend two online meetings a year and to respond to referrals by email, and will receive a payment of £450 a year. Learn more in the Terms of Reference for membership of the panel.
It’s important to us that the panel reflects the diversity of our Scheme membership. We welcome applications from students with a wide range of student experience, but any students who currently have a complaint with us cannot serve on the panel.
