As an ombuds scheme, we are part of a wider community of ombuds organisations both in the UK and internationally. We work with others in this sector to learn from and contribute to the development of good practice in independent complaints resolution.
Each year a number of our staff attend specialist ombuds training.
We are full members of the Ombudsman Association (OA) and follow its principles. We contributed to the development of the OA’s Service Standards Framework. We regularly participate in OA special interest groups and their Annual Conference.
You can learn more about ombuds schemes by visiting the Ombudsman Association website.
We are members of the European Network of Ombudsmen in Higher Education (ENOHE).
We have been approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute as the consumer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body for higher education.
