The OIA is a charity and a company limited by guarantee.
Our Company Members are:
- Association of Heads of University Administration (AHUA)
- Committee of University Chairs (CUC)
- GuildHE
- National Union of Students (NUS)
- Universities UK (UUK) and
- Universities Wales
We are overseen by an independent Board.
Our governing documents are our Memorandum and Articles of Association.
As a registered charity, we are regulated by the Charity Commission. We are committed to the seven principles of good governance set out in the Charity Governance Code.
